Ruth & Ben // Stafford Town Wedding Photos
Ruth & Ben had a lovely relaxed town wedding at the Staffordshire County Buildings in the centre of Stafford. Ruth and Ben walked down the isle together with beautiful music played by violin. We planned to take a little bit of time away from guests to take some photos in the quaint little streets by the ‘Soup Kitchen’ where Ruth & Ben went on dates when they first met.
Heather & Marco’s Whittington Castle Wedding
Heather and Marco are the kind of people that you warm to instantly, they got married on a baking hot day in September at Whittington Castle near Oswestry. Steeped in myths and legends Whittington castle has a magical feel to it and made a stunning backdrop for portraits. The ceremony was held against a beautiful stained glass window at the castle followed by and outdoor afternoon cream tea with all of the bride and groom’s nearest and dearest. As I am a nature lover I loved that the confetti throw was made up of seed edible for the ducks who inhabit the castle moat.
So after a really fun engagement shoot with Helen and James I was really looking forward to working with them on their big day. I remember Ingestre Orangery a few years back and it was great to see all the renovations that have made it into a dream venue for an intimate wedding spent with your favourite people. Helen and and James got married at St Mary’s Ingestre Parish Church which I literally a stones throw from the orangery. The afternoon reception was spent eating delicious afternoon tea, playing lawn games and catching up with friends and family. Helen and James added lots of personal touches - hand crafted table centres and they even made their own wedding cake - which looked amazing and, from the look on their guests faces, delicious!
