So after a really fun engagement shoot with Helen and James I was really looking forward to working with them on their big day. I remember Ingestre Orangery a few years back and it was great to see all the renovations that have made it into a dream venue for an intimate wedding spent with your favourite people. Helen and and James got married at St Mary’s Ingestre Parish Church which I literally a stones throw from the orangery. The afternoon reception was spent eating delicious afternoon tea, playing lawn games and catching up with friends and family. Helen and James added lots of personal touches - hand crafted table centres and they even made their own wedding cake - which looked amazing and, from the look on their guests faces, delicious!
Kelly & Sean’s Italian Garden Wedding at Homme House
I met Sean & Kelly at a lovely little vintage themed wedding fair in Much Wenlock , Shropshire. Kelly and Sean got married at Homme House in Herefordshire…basically a photographers dream to photograph…stunning sweeping staircase, enchanting gardens, the cutest summer house, beautiful interiors, period features…I could go on.
Add to this an outdoor ceremony eek! I LOVE outdoor ceremonies! getting married in summer with birds singing, fragrance of the gardens and panoramic views of the Malvern Hills, seriously whats not to love!
Sean mentioned that they had chosen me to photograph their wedding because of my nice balance of natural moments and more directed shots. I’m always striving to get this balance right for each couple…capturing all the natural moments but then working with the light and composition to create a sprinkling ‘hero shots’.
Kelly took great attention to detail with wedding decor working to an Italian Garden theme with olive leaves, fresh lemons and country garden flowers trailing the tables and twining around the staircase spokes…one of the loveliest arrangements I’ve seen.
