Twinkly lights on dark winter nights can look pretty magical!
With the winter comes shorter daylight hours and sometimes bad weather, which can be a nightmare for your wedding photographer! Last winter I got to take a course that I’ve been looking into for while, with the aim to change these negatives into positives and create magical winter images for your wedding photography. The Belle Epoch in Knutsford was the perfect venue for this stunning styled wedding shoot, with elegant tall candle arbres, art nouveau features and opulent decor. If your looking to book a wedding photographer who has some tricks in the bag to really capture the atmosphere of a cosy winter wedding get in touch.
When I went to meet Debbie to take a look at the locations for her wedding in Anglesey I was so excited! The pre-consult was an adventure in its self and was in the mids of a little snowy spell…for anyone who doesn’t know I LOVE snow!! and looking across to see the welsh mountains coated in snow was delightful. Debbie was getting married in the St Gallgo’s Church, LLanallgo where she had grown up. The church was special as Debbie and her siblings had all been christened there and her Sister had been married there a few years before. Listening to all the plans for the day I knew it was going to be just lovely with so many great opportunities for photos.
When the wedding came around in April the weather was much better and Spring had well and truly sprung! The ceremony was lovely with welsh harpist and releasing doves after. The church was so pretty that we had to nip back inside after everyone had left to take advantage of the architecture for photos. On the way to the reception venue we stopped off along the way to take in the welsh views of the Menai Bridge and Conwy Castle. The reception venue The Quay Hotel & Spa is set on the Conwy Estuary and was the perfect place to end the day with lovely people, good food, good drink and perfect sunset over the sea.
When Steph & Matt told me that they were having a woodland wedding at Tackeroo on Cannock Chase I was sooo excited! Having grown up next to the chase and spent most Sundays as a child exploring and playing in the woods it’s a place very close to my heart and I just knew it was going to be an awesome day.
