Take me back to Homme House and Sean and Kelly’s perfect wedding day!
Sean and Kelly invited me down to have a wonder around Homme House in Much Wenlock before the big day.  I mean I have to admit some parts of my job are just the best – sipping freshly brewed coffee and munching biscuits in one of the magnificient front rooms of such a charming venue whilst chatting all things wedding and photography …I can’t call that work can I!?  From this moment I knew that Sean and Kelly’s day would be so much fun to work on.  Homme House is favourite amongst lots of videographers and photographers and its not hard to see why – I was absolutely spoiled for locations to take photos all day long.  Sean and Kelly were just amazing to work with and trusted my vision completely.
Kelly’s stunning wedding dress was by Maggie Sottero (Romyn) from Georgina Scott Bridal .  Kelly also wore a veil which complemented the delicate details of the dress perfectly.  From a photographer’s point of view I love to play with veils during the couple shoot; the image of Sean and Kelly standing in front of the rambling roses, whilst Kelly’s veil blows in the wind, is just one of my all time fave pics that I’ve taken to date. Kelly’s Mum brought her Pandora earrings and necklace for the occasion. A very special ring was gifted by Sean’s mother that belonged to his Nana. Kelly had two goregus pairs of shoes for the day including a beautifully embellished pair by Rachel Simpson and a glittery pair by Rainbow Club …I couldn’t pick my favourite  either! Sean went for a blue, slim fitting suit with check pattern by Ted Baker and classic Oxford shoes.
Sean’s sister is a hair dresser at Artisan Hair and Beauty and also Motif. She styled Kelly’s hair down with tumbling natural waves. Jess, the stylist then styled Kelly’s hair with a leafy designed hair vine from Liberty in Love .  The make-up had flawless natural feel and photographed beautifully in the changing light throughout the day. The bridesmaids dresses were Chi Chi London with layers of tule in a muted pastel lavender to match with the flowers. The flower girls wore pretty white and gold cotton dresses from Monsoon.
As the weather was so lovely the couple were able to enjoy an outdoor wedding ceremony in front of the summer house – as this area is a high part of the gardens you can see the Malvern hills in the background.  The couple went into the summer house where there is a special room to carry out the signing of the register.  As they walked down the isle Seans sister couldn’t wait to run up and give Sean a big congratualtory hug.  I think that photo is just an example of why natural wedding photography has become so loved. you just can’t stage moments like that.
The confetti run was done through the herbacious borders and the children were given confetti canons – so much fun!
The inside of Homme House is just as stunning as the outside and I was able to create a varied mixture of portraits using different light and backgrounds which looked so lovely displayed together in Sean and Kelly’s wedding album.
Florist Gilliflower of Wem mixed native English wildflowers with Italian greenery including olive branches. Sean & Kelly reused the pew ends to decorate the staircase inside Homme House for the reception. The tables were spectacular! Decorated with olive garlands, country garden flowers and scattered with fresh lemons – a little nod to the honeymoon destination of Sorrento.
The wedding cake was made by I Do Wedding Cakes and had layers of chocolate, lemon and carrot cake layer coated with buttercream – the carrot cake layer was especially just for Sean & Kelly.  We got a fun shot of Sean and Kelly  tucking into their cake surrounded by onlookers from the spiral staircase (…don’t worry they got some as well)  Carrying on the Italian theme The Old Dough Hook Pizza Co. provided the evening catering. This was Sean and Kelly’s “we must have” for the whole day.  The pizzas smelled divine cooking on the summer evening and everyone took the leftovers home.
